Hi! I'm Alex! I'm a first year Biomed student and I would love to run to be your Secretary for the Introverts Society.
The society this year has been a really welcoming and important place for me and other introverts and I would love the chance to give back. It has been great to have a variety of regular events to choose from across the year and I would encourage that diversity to continue when collaborating with the other committee members, ensuring there is something for everyone. I feel I would be able to communicate and collaborate well in the organisation of meetings or events as I feel I am a good listener and like making timetables and planning, with experience of group / project work. I would enjoy being involved in a more behind the scenes role to help the society continue to be a great and welcoming place to all people.
I look forward to seeing you all next year in or outside of the committee!
Hi, I’m Audrey, and I’d love to be secretary for the Introvert Society, as I’m passionate about helping create a comfortable space where people can be themselves, have fun, and meet other people that they relate to - and I also really enjoy organising, planning, and doing administrative tasks!
As an introvert myself, I've always found it intimidating to branch out and meet new people (even more so this year since I just entered university!) so I really appreciate that the Introvert society has given me the opportunity to break out of my shell, meet new people, and try new experiences. I'd love the opportunity to be able to give back to the community as a result.
As secretary, I will aim to be organised, dedicated, engaged, and efficient. In particular, I believe that my experience of being on the secretariat of Model Arctic Council conferences, and working together with my fellow students to help create a memorable and enjoyable conference for all, would help me to carry out my responsibilities well - as it has honed my organisation, communication, and teamwork skills.
In conclusion, it would be an honour to be Secretary for the Introvert society, and to help the society run, so that we can all continue to have more fun together! :)
Hello everyone! I’m Nadia - an INTJ and also your current Year 1 (read Student) Representative for Introverts Society.
It has been a joy to plan and participate in the events this year and I’m sure many of you can say the same. I hope that our new event ideas for the rest of this term, and in the next academic year, will result in memorable activities that Introverts Society has to offer for you.
As one of the society’s Student Representatives, my main task has been collecting feedback and using all of your suggestions to improve the operations in our society as a member of the committee. I hope to expand these roles through further administrative duties as we conduct meetings and manage events so you all can have your choices taken into account.
As Secretary my goals will be to:
1. Build on feedback and take up on the members’ suggestions during committee meetings so we can encourage inclusivity.
2. Plan a list of objectives for the society for each term in order to construct detailed meeting agendas and record for further reflection.
3. Collaborate with other committee members to organise the structure and main aims of each activity so we can create a secure environment for introverts.
4. Help reach out to other societies for further collaborations while noting everyone’s preferences for future events.
With that said, let us all work together to make this society a fun and inclusive community for everyone!
