Indonesian Society: Communications Director

The right words can build connections, spark ideas and bring people together. From keeping everyone updated, helping members’ voices be heard to communicating outside of UCLIS, I want to ensure our community stays active and connected. 

My past experiences have given me strong skills in communication, collaboration and coordination. Through several years in competitive debating, I learned to communicate ideas clearly and strategically under pressure while working effectively with teammates. Beyond that, I’ve also taken on roles that require connecting people and coordinating projects. By working with my teammates for our education organization, I helped plan initiatives, communicate ideas to different audiences and keep everyone aligned. As a community engagement coordinator for an APEC event, I facilitated communication between organizers, speakers and participants to ensure discussions went smoothly. In student council, I helped bridge communication between students and teachers while organizing events. 

I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the behind-the-scenes work while ensuring ideas are communicated clearly to all members. I hope to bring clarity and coordination to keep members informed, included and encouraged to participate. By strengthening how we coordinate events, share information and collaborate with other societies and organizations, I want to help create a space where every member feels welcomed, represented and part of the community.
