Indian Dance Society: Treasurer

Hi everyone,

My journey with the society - from performing in Just Bollywood and Naach, to leading weekly workshops and supporting social media as an FYR - has strengthened both my technical growth as a dancer and my appreciation for the community we have built. This role allows me to combine my commitment to the society with my academic and professional interests in finance.

As a UCL Economics student and CFA candidate, I’m excited to run for Treasurer and bring both creativity and financial responsibility to the role. Through my experience in equity research and accounting at multinational firms such as Barclays and Viavi, I’ve developed strong skills in financial analysis and budgeting, which I will leverage and to strengthen the society's finances.

As a Treasurer, I will prioritise an exponential growth of our society’s funds by drawing on my professional experience to build meaningful partnerships and sponsorships with innovative firms. One of my key achievements was leading a National Young Enterprise team as CEO, where I secured sponsorship deals with two local firms, including a multimillion-pound beverage company, to support our exhibitions and competitions. Through careful budgeting and responsible financial management, I will ensure every pound is used effectively to support larger and more ambitious events, with the aim of creating a sustainable financial foundation that enables our performers to showcase our heritage on even greater platforms nationwide.
