Having served as Welfare Officer this academic year for the UCL Voices for Children (formerly UCL in Aid of UNICEF) Society, I have seen firsthand how much heart, effort, and care goes into everything we do. That role allowed me to prioritise inclusivity, wellbeing, and community and now, I want to build on that foundation as Marketing Officer. I’m standing for Marketing Officer because I want to help bring our initiatives to life in ways that are engaging, thoughtful, and meaningful. I hope to develop creative and clear communications that highlight the purpose behind our fundraisers, collaborative events and campaigns, strengthen our social media presence, and help develop collaborations that reach and inspire more people. My experience this year in understanding our members’ needs, organising activities, and supporting the society has given me insight into what resonates with our community.
As the Marketing Officer:
I want to contribute not just to promoting events, but to sharing the story of why our society matters and the positive change we can achieve together.
I am committed to being approachable, responsive, and collaborative, working with the committee to ensure our campaigns reflect the values and vision of the society.
Ultimately, I hope to make our work as visible and inspiring as possible, so that every event, initiative, and collaboration contributes to lasting impact for the causes we support!
Hi! My name is Clotilde and I’m studying international relations. I’m running for Marketing Officer because I want to help spread the causes that ‘Voices for Children’ stands for and make our mission more visible.
Passionate about human rights, especially ensuring education for all, I believe that strategic and engaging communication through social media can make a real difference.
As Marketing Officer, my goal is to use the powerful tools which are social media, in order to reach as many people as possible. I want to turn awareness into concrete actions and inspire meaningful impacts. Through weekly posts highlighting children’s rights issues, I will ensure that our message is not only shared with other students but also truly understood.
Whether it’s promoting events, sharing awareness campaigns, or highlighting important issues, I am eager to contribute my skills to making our society’s voice stronger and more visible.
Thank you for your support.
Over the past two years in the In Aid of UNICEF Society, I’ve grown with the committee, starting as Volunteering Officer in my first year and now serving as Marketing Officer. This journey has given me a well-rounded understanding of both the operational and promotional sides of the society, and it’s exactly why I’m standing to continue as Marketing Officer.
As Volunteering Officer, I worked closely with members and saw first-hand what motivates engagement. That experience now informs how I market our events, I understand our audience because I’ve worked directly with them. Over the past year as Marketing Officer, I’ve delivered creative social media strategies to boost engagement across the UCL community, designed impactful visuals, written engaging captions for Instagram and LinkedIn, and ensured our inboxes are monitored and enquiries handled promptly and professionally.
We’ve built strong momentum, refined our branding, and strengthened our online presence but there’s still more we can achieve. With the insight I’ve gained over two years and the continuity I can provide, I’m ready to build on our progress, introduce even more innovative campaigns, and continue amplifying our impact.
I’m excited to keep growing our platform and making an even bigger difference together !!
