History of Art Society: Treasurer

Hey! Thanks for considering me for treasurer :) I'm a first-year Ramsey [💔] student studying History of Art (MAT). I'm one of the few guys on the course, so I'm especially easy to spot in the department! Below are some of the reasons I think I'd be a great fit for the role.

Being a little over halfway through my first year, the proximity and impact the Society has had on my experience is not to be understated. In induction week, the picnic and painting pushed me to interact more with my year, though my terrible chalk drawings didn't help. As the year progressed, opportunities such as the Christie's Education course have not only exposed me to the art world but also given me insight into what a future career in the field could look like.

As treasurer, I'd hope to make the Society's funding stretch as far as possible. I was fortunate to be selected twice as team lead within 180 Degrees Consulting UCL, which involved working with a London CIC and gave me great experience managing a tight budget. I'd love to take this financial experience to the History of Art Society to help finance and enable more events throughout the year. I hope to work closely with the hoas leaders to ensure events are frequent, well-resourced, and ultimately enjoyable for all. Ultimately, I will build on previous treasurers' work so someone like you can benefit as much from these opportunities as I have.
