Hi! I’m Aniketh, and I’m running for Executive Director of Hindu Society 2026/27.
HSoc feels like home. From the moment I joined, I felt the warmth and belonging that make it special. Through weekly Sanskar sessions, seva volunteering, being an FYR, and the friendships I made along the way, I found a second family. I’m so thankful, and I hope to give back to the community that has given me so much.
I’m well-suited for the Executive Director role because I’m a leader. I can coordinate on-the-day logistics and take accountability when required. As a Warrant Officer in RAF Cadets, I’ve led national competition teams through high-pressure drills where plans are quickly thrown out the window. Thus, I have learnt to adapt quickly to situations. These skills proved useful backstage at Rangeela, where I helped ensure acts were ready to go onstage on time while the execs were busy hosting a smooth show.
My love for Hinduism has shaped who I am and guided me through some of the most challenging moments in my life, especially during the pressure of A-level revision. When stress was overwhelming, the teachings of dharma (duty) and shraddha (faith) helped centre me. These teachings reminded me to stay disciplined, trust the process, and keep perspective. Hinduism gave me balance and taught me that we should support one another not only in life’s highs, but also in its lows.
I’m standing because I care deeply about HSoc and want to help create more events and memories that make it so special.
