Hiking Club: Secretary

I am standing for Hiking Club Secretary because I genuinely care about the club and want to contribute more to how we communicate and present ourselves.

As a Walking Leader, I have already taken on responsibility within the club, guiding members and helping hikes run smoothly. During the Isle of Wight residential trip, I supported the team by helping with cooking and stepping in wherever needed. These experiences have strengthened my teamwork, reliability, and willingness to take initiative.

I really enjoy communicating with people and making sure everyone feels included and informed. I am confident in writing clear announcements and emails, and I understand the importance of keeping communication professional and organised.

I achieved an A* in Photography and am proficient in using Adobe Photoshop. I am confident with a camera and photo editing, which would allow me to maintain high-quality and consistent media output for the club. I believe strong visuals help capture our experiences and attract more engagement.

I am also well organised and good at arranging tasks efficiently. I can manage deadlines, coordinate the media sub-team, and ensure our announcements and online presence remain clear, professional, and up to date.

Overall, I am enthusiastic, responsible, and ready to take on this role.
