Graphic Novels and Comics Society: Projects Officer

I am standing for project manager because more than getting my grubby hands on the zine, I would love to be hear about members’ creative ideas and concepts , and being responsible on making the zine more about than just its pages, but also about cultivating a space where everyone and anyone can contribute. This year I was able to be a contributor to the society’s MCM October event , and I was able to get to view a lot of beautiful art pieces and how much effort everyone brought forth- perhaps from that , I want to replicate a similar experience where everyone can share their work as a collective. The previous years’ zines are also an inspiration to me and have been so much fun to flip through , and I believe I have the dedication and passion to organise the project’s proceedings and make it a memorable experience for everyone and it’s audience!

Unfortunately I hadn’t attended hustings because I was unaware of it , but despite that, I hope I can be considered!

Hi everyone! I’m standing for projects officer because I love the community and good vibes of GNCS, and I also have a lot of experience participating in / organizing zines, having been in 4 zines as a moderator and 1 zine as a contributor, so I can definitely help the society zine be the best it can be. Although I’m less of an artist myself (I still draw though I promise, and I write a lot!), I’m a big fan of comics and manga. Some of my current favorites include Young Justice 1998 and Haikyuu (yes the manga). Vote for me, and I promise the 2026-27 GNCS zine will not disappoint!
