Hi there! Since I came to UCL, Graphic Novels and Comics Society is the one society which really stuck with me. It stuck so much, I go there pretty much every week. When I was a fresh trying out new societies, I went into a workshop run by the GNCS, and although I wasn't really planning on talking with people I sat next to another first year where we bonded and are still great friends to this day (shout out Jane!). I feel like this happened partly of the warm and non-pressuring environment of the society, but also the opportunities that the society presented to us. Drawing, storytelling, yapping, and chilling - I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I'd like to carry on this legacy from my predecessors and hopefully create an even more welcoming space at GNCS.

Standing for president would mean the following:

  1. I read even more comics etc. to boost my brainpower so I can talk about something with everyone
  2. Provide an opportunity to table with at least 1 (comics) conventions for aspiring artists to gain experience (I've helped with the last 2 MCM Comic Con tables)
  3. You get to come to fun events and informative workshops on topics surrounding comic-making etc.
  4. I'll ensure everyone is welcomed and enjoying their time here!
  5. You get someone who's dealt with logistics surrounding forms and finance, as I was the Treasurer and Marketing Officer for this society before
  6. Cool annual zine :P

Thanks for reading! There's no space-world domination! Oh yea I'm currently a 3rd Year Pharmacology Student
