Gospel Society: Treasurer

Hey everyone,

I am applying for Treasurer for three reasons. 

Firstly, to offer my services to God. I love going to VOCE and so this is a great way to do it. Having been part of it for nearly 2 full years, it’s been so insightful to read the Word and learn its instructions on living our lives. And because of that, I’ve become more intentionally Christian than before uni, when I barely ever read the bible outside of Sundays.

Secondly, to play a bigger role in the society that I look forward to seeing every Monday. This community is a huge reason for my relationship with God growing. Where two or three are gathered, He is there with them. With so many good influences, I left behind many of my worldly habits in 1st year and continue to do so this year. Hearing biblical interpretations not only from the bible coordinators but from every believer, whether new to Bible Study or not, and engaging with them has made me seriously assess my relationship with God. So to ensure that this society continues to bring others closer to God and nurture a godly community, I want to become part of the committee and organise the finances that allow VOCE to run. 

Thirdly, I am very confident about the job. I’ve finished an online course and I’m doing an accounting module at UCL. So you can trust my technical ability. I will also be active in working with the rest of the committee to ensure a range of events are offered and proceed smoothly.
