Emmanuela Appiadu

I’m running for VOCE President because I want to help create a strong and welcoming community for incoming students who share a passion for the Gospel and the things of Christ.

There have been seasons where I’ve had questions, doubts, pressure, and moments where university life could have easily pulled me away from God. University can be overwhelming. It can test your faith, your foundation, your identity. But in those moments, Christian community is what grounded me. Being around believers changes everything. Therefore, I believe VOCE should be more than just rehearsals and Bible studies — it should be a refuge. A place where people can walk in deflated and leave feeling refreshed and renewed.

Fellowship and upholding one another are a vital part of our walk with Christ, and I want to help create a space where students can grow spiritually, be poured into, and find family in the body of Christ. It is important to feel rooted, supported, and spiritually nourished - especially in the world we live in now.

Leadership, to me, is service. For me, this role isn't about the title but about abiding by Philippians 2:3-4.  I want us to grow spiritually, in unity, and I want us to be bold about our faith. And most importantly, I want every single person who joins VOCE to feel seen, valued and spiritually fed.
