Mencia Ponce Diaz

My journey has always been driven by one conviction: strong leadership creates strong communities. From chairing international Model United Nations conferences to collaborating with the UNHCR on refugee fundraising, I’ve learned how to unite people, manage teams, and deliver results with clarity and purpose.

Having lived in three countries and attended nine schools, adaptability is second nature to me. It’s also the foundation of effective leadership, especially in a global, fast‑moving environment like GBSH. My academic path in Business, Economics, and Biology, combined with my exposure to the pharmaceutical sector, has shaped my commitment to advancing health through strategic, ethical management.

I bring hands‑on experience in data analysis from my internship at ONNA and a forward‑looking understanding of AI’s role in business from Bocconi University. Whether leading debate teams, teaching younger students, or organising community initiatives, I’ve consistently built structures that empower others to thrive. We will need this in order to obtain better opportunities for our students with both internships and relationships with corporations that will allow our students to shine.

As Treasurer, I will bring discipline, transparency, and strategic thinking to ensure our resources genuinely serve students.

GBSH deserves leadership that is organised, globally minded, and relentlessly committed. I’m ready to deliver.
