Gaming Society: Welfare Officer

Hi there! I'm Darcy, I've been UCLG Hoyoverse admin in 2025/6 and I would love to become welfare officer because community wellbeing has always meant lot to me, and I would like to offer support to any UCLG members who feel uncomfortable or excluded, and mediate any possible conflicts with zero bias - ensuring every single member is happy and feels welcome within the society.



I would do my absolute best to implement and build on existing welfare systems to maintain a positive and inclusive environment for everyone.
For example, maintain an active and approachable safe space that everyone is aware of and feels that they can access, as well as continuing the bi-weekly welfare drop-in sessions. 
Additionally, I believe the society could benefit from more events catering to people who may initially feel hesitant to participate in the society such as WNB individuals, events like this can help to encourage wider participation in the society.



Being a game admin in the society already has equipped me with experience and skills to make connecting and interacting with members of the community much easier, for example I've learnt the importance of taking feedback from both society members and committee, to ensure continuous improvement and reflection.



The society and all its members mean a lot to me, it’s such an awesome and welcoming community and I would love to help every new and existing member to feel the same love. Thank you and happy voting! :)
