This year, as President of the UCL Game Development Society, I worked to transform the society into a more structured and ambitious development community. Alongside maintaining regular social events such as pub crawls and game nights to strengthen our culture, we introduced engine-based project groups where members formed small teams in Unity, Godot, and other engines to develop games over sustained cycles. This shifted the society from hosting isolated events to fostering consistent collaboration and real-portfolio building experience.

We also expanded beyond UCL. This year, we are organising the first London-wide Game Jam between UCL, KCL, and Imperial. Coordinating across three universities has involved sponsorship outreach, logistics planning, and cross-society communication. It reflects a broader goal of positioning UCL as a central hub within the London student game development ecosystem and building stronger inter-university collaboration.

I am running for Vice President to ensure that these foundations continue to grow. The society now has a clearer structure, momentum, and external reach. As Vice President, I want to support continuity, refine our development systems, and help future committees build on what we have established so that the society continues progressing both technically and as a community.
