Game Development Society: Treasurer

I am nominating myself for the role of Treasurer because I want to ensure we continue to host great society events, such as our pub socials, pizza and gaming nights, and workshop hours. Through the careful management of our budget, I aim to enable even more of these events for all our members.

I have practical experience in managing and monitoring resources from my time as the head of the audit council in high school. This role taught me how to track spending accurately and ensure that funds are used effectively for the benefit of the society.

In addition to maintaining our current schedule, I have three main goals for the society's resources:

• Project Support: I want to allocate funding to support promising game projects by providing members with access to professional asset libraries and development tools.
• Society Library: I will build a society library filled with free learning materials and assets to help members improve their technical skills and advance their personal projects.
• Online Portfolio: I plan to expand our online presence by creating a collective society portfolio. This will showcase our projects and give members proper credit for their work, helping you gain recognition in the industry. As part of this, we will host our own internal asset library where members can share and use assets under a free-to-use license.

My priority is to be transparent with our finances and use our funding to provide the most value possible to every member.
