Yigit Uzun

I am nominating myself for President to support our community and help our projects grow. I want to maintain the relaxed atmosphere we enjoy while adding resources that help everyone improve their skills.

As a CS course representative, I have spent the year advocating for students at SPC meetings. Although this was for the department, it taught me how to navigate UCL’s systems and get things done. I will use this experience to represent our society’s interests and ensure our voice is heard.

If elected, I will focus on:

  • Events: I will ensure we continue to host the events that define our society, such as pub socials, pizza & gaming nights, and game jams. I want to build on this foundation to host even more frequent and diverse gatherings.
  • Project Resources: Where funding permits, I want to provide access to professional asset libraries and tools for promising member projects. I will also build a society library of free learning materials to help everyone improve their skills.
  • Society Portfolio: I will establish a collective society portfolio to showcase the incredible work being done here. This will ensure that every member receives proper credit and industry visibility. Included in this will be our own asset library, hosted under a free-to-use license, allowing us to contribute to the wider developer community while building our own reputations.

I am committed to being an approachable and proactive leader who turns our collective ideas into reality.

Jason Ip

I have been passionate about game development for as long as I remember and have joined numerous game jams such as the GMTK game jam 2025 and Boss rush jam 2024. I am also experienced in leadership positions as I was the president of the Coding Society in my old school and have been acting as the team lead for most of my projects. I believe I am fit for the president position as I am passionate, goal-oriented and have good organisational skills.

My goals for the society include:

  • hosting events such as pub socials, gaming tournaments/socials, development workshops and game jams
  • Aiding and motivating development teams to create their dream games
  • Deepening our relationships with the game dev society of other London unis such as Imperial, KCL and LSE where I'll aim to host inter-uni social events
  • making sure everyone has fun and attracting passionate people into the society
  • Push more effort into improving the Instagram page and publication of this society
  • Finding sponsors for the society
  • Finding passionate people to maintain the society next year
