Financial Journalism Society: President

I am running for Financial Journalism President because I am committed to growing this society from the success it has achieved in its inaugural year. Over the past year, I have served as Economics Editor, helping ensure that all articles published by the society are factually correct, well researched and present a coherent economic story. In addition to this, I have assisted the current president with core materials for weeks surrounding wealth taxes and stock, in which I helped contribute to the development of slides and session content. Furthermore, I have consistently attended sessions, actively engaging with discussions and society initiatives, and discussing nuanced ideas within our society. Alongside this, I have prior leadership experience, which has equipped me with the skills to manage and motivate the new team effectively. My hands-on experience, combined with my passion for financial journalism and intimate understanding of the society’s workings, positions me to continue to build an impactful community as president.
