I am standing for Marketing Officer because, as a film actor, I understand how presentation and audience perception shape creative work. Film & TV Society gives students the opportunity to create meaningful projects, and strong marketing ensures those projects are seen, shared and remembered.
Through my work in film, I have developed a strong understanding of visual identity and how to connect creative projects with the right audiences. If elected, I would focus on refining visual consistency and strengthening engagement, helping to present the society’s work in a way that not only resonates across campus but also feels professional enough to attract wider industry creatives.
We all know that every Film & TV event should feel like a premiere
- But too often, they are promoted like lecture reminders.
I’m running for Marketing Officer because Film Society has the raw creative energy to be one of the most talked-about communities at UCL. What it needs is marketing that matches the cinematic ambition of its members!
Over the past year, I’ve worked hands-on with content, video, and society promotion at UCL. I studied what actually makes students pause, click, and show up. And in creative spaces like ours, attention is everything.
If elected, here’s what will change:
- Promotions that feel cinematic: Stronger hooks and visuals that reflect Film & TV culture. Our events should feel exciting before they even happen.
- Consistent hype cycles for big moments: Structured promo waves (tease → build → drop) so screenings, workshops, and productions get the audience they deserve.
- A recognisable Film & TV Society presence across UCL: Cleaner branding and platform-native content so people instantly know when it’s us!
But beyond strategy, my goal is to make sure our marketing does justice to the talent inside the society and brings more of the right people into the room.
I move fast, I test what works, and I obsess over details.
If you want marketing that makes our society feel sharper and genuinely exciting, I would love your vote.
Let’s make Film & TV Society unmissable!
