Film and TV Society: Documentary Producer

I am standing for Documentary Producer because documentary filmmaking is the form of storytelling that has stayed with me the longest and most deeply. While working on a documentary project in Costa Rica, I realised how powerful it is to tell stories through real people, their faces, small gestures, pauses, and emotions. The relationships I formed and the feelings I experienced during that journey were unforgettable, and they fundamentally shaped how I understand film. Documentary, to me, can be beautiful in an exceptional way: it captures moments and people that linger long after the camera is turned off.

As a producer, I am drawn to the responsibility of shaping these stories with care and integrity. I enjoy the process of turning ideas into something real such as coordinating people, managing logistics, and making sure everyone involved feels supported. Through my academic work and extracurricular roles, I have developed strong organisational skills, reliability, and attention to detail, and I am comfortable taking responsibility for projects from planning through to completion.

I would love to bring both my creative sensitivity and my practical skills to this role, helping UCL Film & TV Society produce documentaries that are thoughtful, well-organised, and grounded in genuine human stories.
