Harriet Limkin

As a member of the FemTech and Women's Health Society this year, I had an incredible time participating in all the events, from the picnic at the very start to the FemTech networking collaboration event. It is an amazing society and I would love to be a part of what makes it special. This society has inspired me to pursue a career in FemTech and Women's Health after graduation, and being able to do the same for other students would be so fulfilling. As the social secretary for the Australian, New Zealand and Oceania society, I have experience both organising and running events from pub trips to collaboration events with LSE and KCL. I helped organise and run the stall at the Welcome Fair and actually discovered this society while running around getting other societies to take photos with our inflatable kangeroo! I am very comfortable with events like this and believe I would be the perfect fit as Events Officer. The collaboration events put on this year with other societies and universities, as well as with guest speakers were wonderful, and I'd love to organise similar events like that next year, specifically the FemTech networking event as it was such a cool event. We could also potentially do collaborations with charities in order to raise money for research into women's health or other women's support charities like Solace Women's Aid UK. This society has made such a big difference this year and I'd love the chance to be able to continue that next year.
