I am standing for Treasurer because I am committed to supporting the society’s growth through responsible financial management and clear, transparent organisation. I am keen to work collaboratively with the wider committee to bring creative, innovative and exciting ideas, fostering an inclusive, impactful and forward-thinking community.

My aim is to build a well-structured budget that enables us to run a diverse range of ambitious events and programmes throughout the year. I am a creative problem solver, trustworthy and detail oriented, and I will work hard to ensure that the society’s finances are carefully managed and effectively organised. I will liaise closely with the Students’ Union, manage our budget responsibly and use my analytical skills to make informed financial decisions. My clear, proactive communication will ensure that the committee is well-informed and confident about the society’s finances.

I am driven to secure funding opportunities that expand the scope of our events, increase accessibility and encourage greater member participation for you to connect with like-minded people. I am approachable, supportive and always welcome feedback and new ideas.

As Treasurer, I will prioritise spending that aligns with our values and long-term goals, ensuring our events are meaningful, inspiring, financially sustainable and accessible for all members. I will ensure that every financial decision is made with the best interest of the society and its members in mind.

I study Biology at UCL, specialising in biodiversity and conservation, which allows me to understand ESG challenges through both scientific and financial lenses. My academic background, alongside work experience with London Wildlife Trust, has shown me how natural capital underpins economic systems and why biodiversity loss represents a material financial risk to businesses, investors, and institutions.

In January 2026, I led talks on ESG-related topics at Cumberland Lodge, where I discussed the concept of nature as capital and the importance of pricing biodiversity risk into decision-making frameworks. These experiences strengthened my ability to communicate ESG issues clearly, confidently, and in financially relevant terms.

I have extensive volunteering experience and have worked closely with an ESG mentor, deepening my understanding of governance, accountability, and impact-led finance. I am highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing responsibility, skills that are essential for overseeing society finances.

As Treasurer, I would prioritise transparency, strategic allocation of funds, and long-term sustainability, ensuring that the society’s finances actively support impactful initiatives and reflect the values ESG stands for.
