Election post
- Office hours for all, so you aren’t on a wild goose chase for help
- An Education Policy Tracker: log when departments break policies like feedback in 20-days or no Wednesday afternoon teaching, so the SU can get it fixed
- Systemic support for applicants & students affected by conflict
- Support students with cost of study in UCL (bursary uplifts; no ‘hidden course costs’) and nationally
- Campaign for ethical & sustainable university investments and partnerships
- Wider opportunities to develop new, technical skills through term 3 learning, aiding employability
- Continued advocacy for better study space!
As your Education Officer I’ve:
- Integrated sample lectures in module handbook (helping you this April)
- Ran weekly polls on ongoing issues
- Reformed flawed Personal Tutor system; UCL will now monitor if students aren't being supported
- Advocated on home/overseas student finance in parliament; campaign on PGR stipends
- Secured student representation on ethical Investment Policy & research groups
- fought for extra T3 study space
...to name a few!
I’ve been a TA, tutor, & summer workshop leader for refugee children. At UCL: a Mentor, Impartial Chair, & Academic Rep- advocating for students from the start!:)
Hi, I’m Sarah, & I’m rerunning to be your Education Officer!
There are gaps in UCL’s education system - in feedback, financial support & more - and they pose huge challenges to any student who may stumble or fall through. I want to fix these gaps.
In my year as EO, I’ve advocated with students, reps, & campaigners, challenging senior stakeholders to make student voices heard and acted on.
If re-elected, I’ll hit the ground running on pressing student issues, pushing to ensure UCL students get an education that is worthwhile, accessible, and truly supports them - especially when they need it most.
