The Economists' Society: Director of Marketing

As the Economics Society was only newly established on the student union website last year, I believe it has huge potential to reach more students and create a much greater impact across the school, particularly among those interested in economics.

As a first-year Marketing Representative this year, I am in a strong position to step into the role of Marketing Director and continue contributing to the society’s development. I have been involved in designing promotional materials for events, including creating social media posts. I have also helped record live events and take photographs during these sessions. Working closely with the current committee has allowed me to gain valuable experience in promoting events and understanding how to engage students effectively.

To briefly market myself: I am organised, responsible, creative and enthusiastic about connecting with people. I enjoy working with others and look forward to meeting more students through the platform of the Economics Society. I also have previous experience leading the organisation of school-wide charity events, which has helped me develop strong teamwork and leadership skills.

If elected, I would aim to strengthen the society’s online presence, create more consistent promotion, and make economics more engaging and accessible. I believe that by leading the marketing department myself, the Economics Society can not only promote events effectively but also genuinely build a strong and vibrant community.
