Drama Society: Vice President

Hi! I’m Charis, a second-year BA Creative Arts and Humanities student. As the current Workshops Officer for Drama Society, I have gained a lot of insight on how the society and committee functions, which would be useful to bring forward and implement next year. 

I am confident in my ability to organise events, delegate tasks and communicate effectively with other members of the committee and society. From organising workshops this year, I've developed these skills, and gained a lot of experience in leading and facilitating events, as well as engaging in cross-society collaborations. I have experience as a director, producer and performer within the society which provides me with a fully rounded perspective, making me a good source of advice for new students looking to join. 

As Vice President, I would support the President as they need to manage society affairs, ensuring that they run smoothly and successfully. I hope to:

1. Widen society engagement across UCL (particularly with festivals and workshops)
2. Curate more diversity within productions and events
3. Create more non-audition performance/production opportunities for students

I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of committee and the society this year, and would love to be given the opportunity to have a bigger role in improving and continuing the incredible productions and events the Drama Society offers!

Hey guys! I'm Zaryab, your current Fresher's Rep! Joining UCL, this year has been, quite frankly, a crazy experience and yet thanks to Drama Society I finally feel that I belong somewhere. Therefore, I would love to take the reins a little more and, hopefully as Vice President, give back to a society that has helped me out so much this year so far. I want to help etch out a space where others who, like me, lacked confidence but loved everything Drama. With my fellow committee, I want to create a space where others, like me, can develop their confidence, both in themselves and in their abilities and finally, I want to help create a space where one can make friends and find a space where they belong here at UCL.
