Drag Society: Secretary

Joining Drag Society within my first year, I have felt an immense sense of connection towards my society members. I have witnessed the society grow and evolve, developing a thorough understanding of its organisational needs and the values which sustain it. I am applying for the role of Secretary, as I believe that effective administration empowers artistic communities, and I wish to strengthen the organisational framework which upholds our members.

As a Secretary, I vow to display efficient organisational and communicative skills, ensuring that all members of the society are accounted for equally. I will bring a consistent and reliable work ethic, prioritising deadlines without compromising quality. Through my academic work and extracurricular internships, I have developed strong skills in time management, growing accustomed to detailed note taking, record keeping, and synthesising discussions into coherent summaries. I aim to directly translate my skills into action, ensuring that clear agendas and a structured committee are maintained through professionalism, respect and inclusivity. As a Secretary, I will approach each member with professionalism and inclusivity, ensuring that the society continues to foster clarity and mutual respect, and that each member can safely perform and grow.

Having grown alongside the Society since my first year, I hope to meaningfully contribute to sustaining the welcoming and dynamic community that has shaped my university experience!
