Dodgeball Club: Social Secretary

Life can be as cliché as you want it to be. Life is a journey and we’re all searching for our destination — you’ve probably heard that before. But here’s my take:

“Life is made up of a series of social moments.”

And as your Social Secretary, my mission is simple: make those moments bigger, better, and impossible to forget.

University isn’t just lectures and deadlines. It’s the spontaneous nights out. The themed events you nearly didn’t come to but ended up loving. The inside jokes born at 1am (I am too old so won't be doing that). The group photos that took 20 attempts. The memories that resurface years later and still make you laugh.

I want to create a calendar that has something for everyone — from high-energy nights out to chilled socials, from chaotic themed events to wholesome daytime activities. Whether you’re here for the dance floor, the food spots, the competitions, or just the vibes, you deserve events that feel inclusive, exciting, and worth showing up to.

Yes, there will be the iconic moments. The dramatic entrances. The questionable dance moves. The “why did we think that theme was a good idea?” outfits. And yes — I will absolutely be there to witness, organise, and occasionally document them.

But more than that, I want our socials to feel welcoming. No pressure. No cliques. Just good energy and good people.
