I’m standing for Social Media Officer because I believe diplomacy doesn’t just happen in serious conversations, conferences and debates rooms but also in the casualty of a conversation and the way ideas are shared. I want our social media page to reflect the energy, relevance and global curiosity that manifests into our very own Diplomacy Society.
Possesing the role of a Media Team Member in various European Youth Parliament sessions and editor/writer of my school magazine, I’ve gained hands-on experience in content creation, event coverage and communicating complex political ideas in accessible ways. This allowed me to learn how to present current issues with creativity, while understanding how to balance professionalism with creativity (whether that’s through event promotion, event coverage, photography, or thoughtful posts and stories). Thus, my aim would be to inform and engage with future society members by making diplomacy accessible.
Growing up in the world's last divided capital has undoubtedly shaped my interest in diplomacy and I’d love to translate that passion into a strong digital presence for the society. I want our platforms to feel dynamic, informative, and inclusive, thus highlighting student voices, showcasing events while making diplomacy feel relevant to our everyday life at UCL.
Ultimately, I don’t just want to “run” the social media but to build a platform that reflects the very curiosity and ambition that showcases passion of each individual member.
As a second-year History student, I have developed a disciplined approach to research and time management that is essential for the role of Social Media Officer. I am not seeking to use this platform for personal experiments; I want to provide a consistent, professional, and organised digital presence. My goal is to be the reliable bridge between the committee’s strategic decisions and the society’s members, ensuring every event is promoted with precision and every enquiry is handled with professional etiquette. My professional trajectory has equipped me with the toolkit required for high-level operational support. At the English-Speaking Union, I managed multi-channel enquiries and acted as a primary point of contact for international students and professionals. As Social Media Officer, I will apply this same operational rigour to ensure our posting schedule aligns perfectly with the society’s calendar.My priority is to execute the directives of the executive committee efficiently, following branding guidelines to ensure our online presence reflects the society's prestigious reputation. With native fluency in English and Albanian, and working knowledge of Italian, I can engage effectively with our international membership base. I have already engaged with diplomatic functions through embassy visits and high-level talks. I am ready to bring this level of commitment and my solution-oriented mindset to the society to ensure the committee's vision is realised.
I am standing for continuity in the branding, marketing, and social media of the Diplomacy Society. Currently, this year's Marketing Officer (Social Media Officer) I want to ensure that we as a society remain consistent and that our members and new members are able to recognise our society and its brand across the international relations space at UCL. I am heavily experienced in the role and proven myself reliable for the society.

What have my achievements been so far?
- Rebranded the London University Diplomatic Summit (LUDS) with a new logo, brand style, colours, and typography during UCL's controlling year (2026) receiving wide praise and upgrading the status of the event. Working hard to create templates and a consistent feel across the whole instagram.
- Produced many eye-catching, aesthetically designed graphics to market events with clear information for the committee to show to our members.
- Posted consistently, replying to comments and messages, monitoring our email and social media and notifying the leadership team.
