Detective Society: President

I am reapplying for Detective Society President because I have truly enjoyed leading the society these past two years and don’t want to see it disaffiliated, especially with so many enthusiastic members. We've held fantastic events - Meet the Committee/Welcome socials, movie nights and murder mystery case file solvings, only to name a few.

As a Security and Crime Science PhD student, all things crime hold a deep interest for me. My passion for true crime and fostering an inclusive, welcoming student community has driven me this year, and I would love to continue this role next year. I have met so many amazing people, and, along with the rest of the committee, want to keep building a society where members feel engaged and valued. 

Plans for next year include exciting outings such as escape rooms and museum visits, continuing our beloved movie nights and mystery-solving sessions, and ensuring the society is shaped by its members. I will work with the committee to lead in a democratic way, making sure everyone's voice is heard in deciding the society’s direction.

I hope to bring my enthusiasm and experience to another successful year for Detective Society!
