Dermatology Society: Treasurer

Hey! I’m Mark, a second-year medical student with a strong enthusiasm for dermatology. Before starting medicine, I studied economics and worked in finance, and I would love to combine these interests by contributing to the Dermatology Society as Treasurer.

I am running for Treasurer because I would genuinely value the chance to contribute to a society that brings together students who are curious about, and excited by, dermatology. Having attended events ranging from talks by inspiring speakers, to the London Universities Dermatology Conference, I have really appreciated how the society creates welcoming ways to learn more about the specialty and connect with others who share that interest.

Through my background in economics and finance, I have developed strong financial and organisational skills, and I am comfortable working with budgets and managing resources carefully. I would be very excited to bring these skills to the Treasurer role, by taking on the responsibility of ensuring the Dermatology Society’s finances are managed responsibly and transparently, enabling the society to continue organising engaging, accessible and informative events for members.

Finally, I would really value supporting the friendly dermatology community around UCL. I enjoy working collaboratively, and I would be committed to helping the society continue to grow and create even more opportunities for students to explore and become excited about dermatology.
