Dermatology Society: Publicity Officer

Hey! I’m Mark, a second-year medical student with a strong enthusiasm for dermatology, and I would love the opportunity to contribute to the Dermatology Society as Publicity Officer.

I am running for Publicity Officer as I would genuinely value the chance to help promote a society that brings together students who are curious about, and excited by, dermatology. I first discovered the Dermatology Society through Instagram, and this sparked my interest in getting involved. I now would love to help continue that outreach and support the society in reaching even more students who may be interested in learning about dermatology.

Having attended events ranging from talks by inspiring speakers, to the London Universities Dermatology Conference, I have really appreciated how the society creates welcoming ways to learn more about the specialty and connect with others who share that interest. I would be excited to help share these opportunities through social media in a clear and engaging way, across various platforms, so that as many students as possible feel encouraged to attend and get involved. 

I would also be interested in starting a newsletter to help spread word of the events set up by the society.

Finally, I would really value supporting the friendly dermatology community around UCL. I enjoy working collaboratively, and I would be committed to helping the society continue to grow and reach even more students to explore and become excited about dermatology.
