Dermatology Society: President

Hello! My name is Violet Schine, and I will be entering my fifth year of medical school next year. I am running for President of the UCL Dermatology Society after working as Networking Officer this academic year. 

This year, I have been an active member of the DermSoc committee, establishing our society patron, a UCL-affiliated consultant dermatologist, to support our educational programme, as well as securing multiple dermatology speakers. I have also consistently gone above and beyond my role by helping to organise our teaching sessions and supporting the London Interuniversity Dermatology Society Conference 2026.  

Being involved in DermSoc this year has made me excited about how the society can continue to grow and support students interested in dermatology.

As President, I hope to expand opportunities within the society through more in-person speakers, collaborative events with other societies, increased accessibility to dermatology research opportunities, and — of course — the beloved skincare samples!
