Data Science Society: President

Hi everyone! It has been incredible getting to know so many of you this year as your Head of Events. I’ve been hands-on with almost everything we’ve delivered, from the career panels and hackathons to that "memorable" Jeopardy session during Project Labs.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together this year:  By selling out 4 out of every 5 events, consistently hitting 100+ signups, and breaking our society membership record by over 200 people. I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to scale this society, and as your President, I’m ready to take that momentum even further.

My focus for next year is simple: your growth. I want to make every initiative accessible. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a data pro, there will be a place for you to learn and contribute.

• From Project to Venture: I’m aiming to make Project Labs an end-to-end experience, not just building or coding a model, but learning how to actually launch and scale your ideas.

• Industry Access: I’ll be even more hands-on with our corporate partners, moving beyond guest talks to provide direct recruitment pipelines and increased outreach to the industries where data science is booming.

I promise to keep building on our new flagship events and expand our research division so we stay at the cutting edge. If the record-breaking year we just had hasn’t convinced you yet on how I can benefit you all, I’ll make Frank convince you! 🙏🙂‍↕️
