I am Huiru Feng, a 1st-year Pure Math student. I built my tech stack via rigorous self-learning: Python (Coursera), Data Cleaning (Forage), and ML/DL (Kaggle). I actively track AI trends and currently lead a DSS team building an EV vs. Legacy stock predictive model.
I am standing for Head of Research to bridge the gap between simply calling APIs and truly understanding AI/Quant methodologies, elevating our academic output to industry standards.
My Execution Plan:
- 1. Demystifying the "Black Box": Leveraging my pure math background, I’ll run technical workshops breaking down the math behind ML algorithms (e.g., gradient descent). We must understand how models work, not just import them.
- 2. Industry-Aligned Reading Groups: We will dissect state-of-the-art papers and real-time AI developments (latest plugins, Quant strategies), translating complex literature into actionable insights.
- 3. High-Quality Publications: I’ll guide members to publish data-driven articles (like my current EV stock analysis) on the DSS blog, building a public portfolio for everyone involved.
Why Me? With a First-Class Analysis foundation (89%) and an execution-driven approach to self-teaching, I bring the extreme academic rigor needed to transform Research into a powerhouse of technical insight.
