Criminal justice is a field driven by passion and ambition, but it can also be demanding and uncertain for students trying to find their path. I want to help ensure our society is not only a place where members can explore career opportunities, but also a community where people feel comfortable asking for advice, sharing experiences, and supporting one another.

I’m standing for Vice President and Welfare Officer because my time as Careers Officer has shown me how much this society means to students, including myself. Through organising career-focused opportunities and speaking with members about their goals, I’ve seen how important it is to have a space where people feel supported as well as inspired especially in this broad sector. From organising a careers pathway talk by a renowned barrister, to partnering with the EYC charity that empowers the youth, to starting the criminal justice career insight series on social media. I’ve worked to create opportunities that help members better understand their future paths.

This society has opened many doors for me, and it has motivated me to ensure our members have access to the right guidance and opportunities. As Vice President and Welfare Officer, I want to build on this by expanding career initiatives while also strengthening the supportive community that makes our society so valuable. I want every member to feel confident exploring their ambitions while knowing they are part of a society that genuinely looks out for them.
