Darcie Dudding

My name is Darcie Dudding, and I am a 1st year student studying Anthropology.

Criminal justice is a field that thrives on debate, real-world insight, and diverse perspectives, and events are the most powerful way to bring those things to life. I am deeply interested in prison reform within the UK, and would love to initiate more events that demonstrate the criminal justice system beyond the courtroom. As well as building on the work of the previous events officer, to maintain the high standards of the current events.

I have vast experience with planning events. From orchestrating over 20 events while raising money for charities WOHAA and SARI, both within and beyond my school community throughout sixth-form. Alongside this, throughout the summer I worked as an assistant, a role which required me to take on numerous administrative responsibilities, such as organising meetings, handling large sums of money,  and hiring contractors to fulfil repair work. I am confident in my ability to not just manage the logistics of events, but also promote events effectively and ensure strong attendance.

If elected, I would aim to bring in a range of guest speakers from across the criminal justice sector, as well as organise socials, panel discussions, and networking opportunities that add real value to members' university experience.

I would be grateful for your vote and look forward to the opportunity to serve this society.
