Aryahi Bhide

I’m standing for Vice President of the Women’s Cricket Club because I’m committed to helping our club succeed on and off the field. I want to support the President and committee in building a strong, united club where every member feels confident, supported, and motivated to improve. I will help ensure training sessions are well organised and purposeful, while maintaining a positive and enjoyable atmosphere that encourages participation at all levels. Communication will be a priority for me, and I will always be approachable, ready to listen to ideas, and represent your views.

I believe I have led by example this year through my commitment, attitude, and willingness to support others. Even when results have not gone our way, I have consistently given my full effort and encouraged those around me. I understand that leadership is not just about performance, but about reliability, teamwork, and creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.

I am also passionate about supporting player development, especially helping members transition from softball to hardball cricket. Having gone through that process myself, I understand the challenges involved and the confidence it takes. As Vice President, I would work to ensure every player feels supported in their progress and proud to be part of our club.

I am excited to put myself forward for Vice President! I have been part of this club for all three years of my degree so far, and it has genuinely been one of the most important parts of my university experience. From training sessions to match days and everything in between, this team has given me so much, and I would love the chance to give back in a bigger way.

Having spent the past 1.5 years as President, I understand the responsibility, organisation and behind-the-scenes work that keeps the club running. That experience means I can properly support the incoming President, share what I’ve learned, and help ensure a smooth, confident transition. More than anything, I care deeply about this club, the people, the culture, and the community we’ve built, and I would be proud to help it continue to grow in my final year at UCL.
