I've really enjoyed playing in a women's cricket team again, since the last time I did was two years ago.

I do have experience captaining both my cricket club's women's development team and my cricket team at school. As a cricket coach, I would also love to get more involved in the coaching side of things for the women's team, and help out more with the players trying to bridge the gap between intermediate and hard ball. Cricket has always been a really wonderful outlet, and I would love to have a more hands on role showing more players how amazing the sport can be. I think the confidence of being able to play hard-ball cricket is really empowering, and help make the team stronger.

I would want to get as involved as possible if I was captain - fortunately, I do not many contact hours on my course. I want to continue to foster a fun team environment and progress the development of the players.

I am quite cricket obsessed since I also do it as a part time job alongside university, and I feel like I could use my connections in the industry to the advantage of the team.

If anyone wants counselling over the result of cricket series, or wants to talk about the nuances of the County Championship, I can chat cricket for hours.

I’m standing for Intermediate Captain because I’m committed to helping our team succeed on and off the field. I want to build a strong, united squad where everyone feels confident, supported, and motivated to perform at their best. I’ll make sure training is well structured and productive, while keeping a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. Communication will be a priority. I will listen to your ideas, support you on and off the pitch, and ensure every player feels valued.

I believe I have led by example this year in our softball matches. While the results have not always gone our way, I have consistently given my full effort, stayed positive, and supported my teammates in every game. I understand that leadership is not just about winning, but about encouraging others and showing commitment regardless of the score. I believe the team has shown resilience, determination and strong spirit throughout the season and I am proud to have contributed to that environment.

I am also excited to help people transition from softball training to hardball nets. I know it can be challenging because the pace, technique and confidence required are different, but I have gone through that process myself. Having experienced it firsthand, I understand the adjustments that need to be made. I want to support others through that transition and help make it a smoother and more positive experience.
