Cricket Club (Women's): Beginner/Softball Captain

I would love the opportunity to be your beginner captain next year. Having been one of your social secretaries this year, I played an active role in building the strong and welcoming community that defines our club. Next year, I would like to further nurture this welcoming community in a new role. I understand how vital the sense of belonging is for beginner players, as I too started as a beginner in my first year. I appreciate how important encouragement, patience and positive leadership are to our softball sessions, but most importantly, I also see the value in our sessions being fun too. Our training is a time to decompress after a long day of classes by seeing your friends and playing a sport you love, so in this role, I will absolutely strive to make it as supportive an environment as possible. Additionally, I would like to help ease the transition from softball to hardball by ensuring that players feel confident enough to reach their full potential within the club. I am committed, approachable, and passionate about maintaining an encouraging space where every beginner feels valued and motivated to develop their skills and make new friends. I would love to continue strengthening the community aspect of the club that we have all worked so hard to build.
