Classics Society: Social Media Secretary

Hello! :) I’m Zahra, I'm a first-year Classics student with a genuine love for both ancient history and a well-curated Instagram grid ;) I’m running for social media secretary for the Classics soc because I’d love to get involved in committee life, and put my enthusiasm for creating content to good use. Social media is how most students at UCL discover events and opportunities, so it should be clear, cohesive, and genuinely engaging.

I want to maintain the strong visual identity of the page while increasing outreach and inclusivity, making sure our events reach beyond just Greek & Latin students and feel welcoming to anyone with an interest in Classics and ancient history! Outreach is important, especially in the first few weeks of term, so I want to make a strong impression with our digital footprint in the coming year, and grow the prospects of the society!
