A Cappella Society: Social Secretary

Hi everyone!! I’m Kimaya and I’m running for Social Secretary/ Events Manager. Being part of A Cappella has quite easily been the highlight of my second year at UCL. It’s one of those spaces where you can come to rehearsal after a long day of lectures and deadlines, and just switch off for a bit.

As the Social Officer / Events Manager, I’d want to organise even more socials outside of rehearsals: karaoke and movie nights, weekly pub trips, and the occasional riff-off hehe. I’d also love to organise joint socials with other A cappella groups across London, it would be fun to meet other singers and expand our circle! I want new members joining next year to feel the same excitement and sense of belonging that made me love this society so much.

I’ve organised events and been part of committees before, so I’ll make sure things actually happen and run smoothly! More than anything though, I just really care about this group and the community around it. I’d love to be part of making next year even better :)
