Bubble Tea Society: Treasurer

I am standing to be the bubble tea society treasurer because I want to have an active and impactful role in the society. 

I am a first year student studying mathematics and statistical sciences who is comfortable dealing with numbers. I genuinely enjoy organising budgets and finances so that we can make the most out of our events, whilst also communicating with other committee members to explore new opportunities within the society. I understand that good finance management isn’t only about making the most of our money but also about how we can stay sustainable and just as a society. That will be one of the values that I keep in mind in every decision we make as a committee.

At the same time, I am an extroverted and approachable person. I believe that the role of treasurer isn’t just someone who sits behind a spreadsheet but rather someone actively involved in every part of the society. I aim to be a treasurer that is accountable, transparent, and open to feedback and discussions whilst someone who is easy going and laid back.

Most importantly, I simply want to help our society grow. With my strong organisational skills and approachability, I can support the goals of our lovely society.
