Boat Club (RUMS): Secretary

I’m standing for RUMS Boat Club Secretary because even though I’ve only been at the club for a year, it’s already become such a big part of my university experience! I’ve loved everything about it so far - the training, the racing, and especially the sense of community - and I’m really excited for the years ahead. I care a lot about the club and would love the chance to give something back in a more meaningful way.

If elected, I’d aim to make communication clearer and more streamlined, so important information about races, registrations, and deadlines is easy to access and never confusing. I’m organised, reliable, and confident managing admin tasks, and I’d bring a proactive, approachable attitude to the role. I want members to feel informed, supported, and heard, and I’d work hard to make the Secretary role not just efficient, but genuinely helpful for everyone in the club.
