Board Games Society: Welfare Officer

Hi everyone I'd like to be the welfare officer because I care about everyone's wellbeing in board games society thanks 

No actually I've been in the society for 2 years now and I'd like to take some responsibility in my third year to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and can have fun playing the games they like at this society. Having fun is the top priority of this society and if for any reason you get a bad experience during a session, which I can totally understand from personal experience, I want to make sure that your voice is heard and that we can figure out a way together to make board games enjoyable for you. 

I'll make sure everyone who walks into our weekly sessions feels welcome, safe and valued.

As the current Welfare Officer (I do not get paid enough for this) for societies at UCL, I am well aware of the bureaucratic maze that mental health support at UCL is. So here's my pitch to help Board Game Society achieve its best welfare potential:

• TRANSPARENT WELFARE MECHANISMS: I'll make sure welfare is no longer a 47-page PDF that no one cares to read. It can be something everyone can access easily and quickly. 
• KEEP THE SOCIETY CALM: Board game society is the perfect competitive wind-down from dense academic papers, and I intend to keep it that way! Let's make sure that through a concrete welfare setup, the society remains the safe and relaxing haven that it is!
