Board Games Society: Marketing and Communications Officer

I have been a member of Board Game society for almost three years, and during that time it has become an important part of my university experience. I have fell in love with many new games and met so many great people and friends there too. I would love the opportunity to contribute more to the society by taking on the role of Marketing and Communications Officer.

As a Fine Art student, I have plenty of experience in creative ways to express information and visual design. I want tomake sure that all channels, like the WhatsApp and Discord as well as the Instagram page, are up to date with all the important information. This would include committee member details, in addition to location and time of the weekly events, the scheduled collaborations with other societies or universities, and other key announcements.

I believe that doing this in a timely manner is the most important part of this position as to ensure that members stay engaged and informed with the society. However, I do intend to make sure that the posts are clear to understand, cohesive and visually appealing. I hope to be able to promote the society more effectively across campus and to build a sense of pride in the community we have all built.
