I’m standing for a role in the Biopharmaceutical Society because I’m genuinely interested in the industry and I see how valuable this society can be for students who want clearer direction. It’s one of the few spaces that bridges science with real-world careers, and I’d love to contribute more to that.
I’ve benefited from being part of it, whether through talks, networking opportunities, or learning more about different career paths, and I want to help expand those opportunities for others. I think we can make the society even more impactful by strengthening industry connections, organising practical career-focused events, and making it easier for members to feel confident about breaking into biotech, pharma, or healthtech.
I’m standing because I care about making the society proactive and useful, but also genuinely helpful for students navigating competitive industries, and I’m willing to put in the work to make that happen.
Second year is a pivotal time, and balancing intense modules with internships, research, and career decisions can feel overwhelming. I’m standing for Second Year Rep to ensure our cohort feels supported, informed, and genuinely represented. I want to make sure our year group has a clear voice within the society and that the challenges we face are actively heard and addressed.
My true passion lies at the intersection of science and industry, and I know how valuable the right guidance can be at the right time. Whether that’s hosting focused networking sessions or improving communication about research and internship opportunities, I want to help make second year feel more strategic and less stressful.
I’ve previously founded and led a student consulting organisation, where I mentored peers and organised industry speaker events from scratch. That experience taught me how to listen, take initiative, and turn ideas into action.
If elected, I’ll prioritise:
• Career-focused events tailored to the pathways we’re navigating
• Clear, two-way communication between our cohort and the committee
• Building a stronger sense of community so we can share insights and support each other
I want us to feel prepared, confident, and connected as we move forward. I’d really appreciate your vote to represent our year.
Let’s navigate the second-year stress together. Vote SANA for Rep!
