BCMS Society: Treasurer

I am standing for Treasurer because I am committed to supporting the society’s growth through responsible financial management and clear, transparent organisation. I am keen to work collaboratively with the wider committee to bring creative and exciting ideas, fostering a diverse, inclusive and welcoming community.  

My aim is to build a well-structured budget that enables us to run a wide range of engaging, immersive and unifying events throughout the year. I am a creative problem solver, trustworthy and detail oriented, and I will work hard to ensure that the society’s finances are carefully managed and effectively organised. I will liaise closely with the Students’ Union, manage our budget responsibly and use my analytical skills to make informed financial decisions. My clear, proactive communication will ensure that the committee is well-informed and confident about the society’s finances.  

I am driven to secure funding opportunities that expand the scope of our events, increase accessibility and encourage greater member participation for you to connect with others. I am approachable, supportive and always welcome feedback and new ideas.  

As Treasurer, I will prioritise spending that aligns with our values and goals, ensuring our events are meaningful, inspiring, culturally enriching and financially sustainable and accessible for all members. I will ensure that every financial decision is made with the best interest of the society and its members in mind. 

Being from Bosnia and Croatia, I am proud of my heritage and am keen to represent the region I’m from in BCMS society. Being Head Boy and President of the School Council at school has equipped me with the skills required for leadership while I also have a passion for cultural events and opportunties to connect with other BCMS students in London. I would use this role to make all members feel welcome and use our heritage as an opportunity to bring people together, whether through food, clubbing, games or just fun socials!
