Basketball Club (Men's): 2nd Team Captain

I am standing for Team Captain because basketball has been a defining part of my life for over 12 years. Through this long-term commitment, I have developed a strong technical ability and a deep understanding of team dynamics, discipline, and accountability.

My leadership experience comes from competing myself rather than just theory. I previously captained both my high school varsity team and my club team, experiences that required me to manage different roles while maintaining competitive standards. At the American International School in Egypt, I served as President of the Basketball Club, where I was responsible for planning and hosting an inter-school tournament in Cairo. This role strengthened my organizational skills and reinforced the importance of professional team representation.

Beyond administration, I bring strong basketball IQ and court awareness. I am confident in designing purposeful drills, analyzing game situations, and introducing structured strategies that elevate team performance. My approach focuses on building a disciplined but motivating environment where players are challenged to improve while remaining fully committed to collective success.

As Team Captain, I will prioritize consistency, accountability, and positive team culture, ensuring we compete seriously on the court while representing UCL basketball with professionalism and unity.

Hey everyone, I’m putting myself forward for 2nd Team Captain next season.

Having been 3rd captain this year, I feel like I’ve got a good handle on how the team works and what we need to do to improve. I’m fully committed to the squad and want to make sure we’re hitting the ground running from day one.

My main focus for next year is just getting us organized and playing at a higher level consistently. I’m ready to put the work in to make sure we have a massive season and get the results I know we're capable of.
