Lok Hin Lee

My name is Damian, and I would like to apply for the position of UCL Badminton 2nd Team Captain. I joined the UCL badminton team this year and have really enjoyed being part of the team and the positive atmosphere it creates.

If selected as captain, my main goal would be to strengthen both team cohesion and performance. I want to ensure that every player feels supported, motivated, and confident during both training sessions and competitions. I would also focus on organising structured training, maintaining clear communication within the team, and ensuring strong preparation for matches, so that we can perform at our best while maintaining a supportive and enjoyable team environment and hopefully win tier 1 again next year :)

Seb Arvai-Morris

Hi my name is Seb and I'm standing for the role of team captain because I believe I can lead the 2nd team to the top of the division where we belong.

During my first year at UCL, I was the only white guy on the team (known as diversity rep) and now I want to take that a step further by becoming team captain to show that there can be diversity in badminton! Jokes aside, as team captain I would aim to introduce more social events for team bonding whilst pushing the competitive spirit so we can get the job done.

For my badminton background, I represented my school and county numerous times and competed in several Badminton England tournaments around the country. As the team captain of my sixth form college, I led my team to the national AOC championships where we became the best college squad in England. I also volunteered as a coach at my local club which involved progressing younger players and organising training sessions.

So as you can see badminton is pretty much my whole life! I'd appreciate if everyone voted for me, so I can make the team more inclusive, fun and competitive!
