Aliyah Paydar-Edwards

I am standing for this role for three key reasons. Firstly, I am aspiring for a career within the aviation industry. As a result, I regularly attend aviation workshops, webinars and work experience with major companies like British Airways, the Royal Air Force and many more. By having so much contact with such companies, I would seek to forge partnerships that I can bring to Avsoc. Secondly, I am enormously enthusiastic about aviation. Why does this matter? It matters because it shows that I will put in just as much energy and attention into Avsoc as I do my studies. Hence, this role won't be a second thought but a role that I will persistently and proactively engage with. Finally, I am methodical when it comes to organising tasks and responsibilities. With that said, I will channel the same diligence into the management of the society's finances, that is expected of a treasurer.

Brian Wong

Aviation has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and being part of the UCL Aviation Society has only strengthened that enthusiasm. As Treasurer, I would bring a organised approach to managing the society’s finances, ensuring that funds are tracked effectively and resources are used efficiently.

With a keen eye for detail, I’m confident in my ability to keep track of budgets, and manage expenses. I believe in communication and making sure everyone understands where the society’s funds are allocated, while supporting the broader goals of the society. I aim to contribute to the smooth running of the society by helping to maintain a solid financial foundation, ensuring we have the resources needed for events, activities, and growth.

Thank you for considering me for this role. I look forward to the opportunity to help the society stay financially organised and focused on what matters most: our members and our shared love of aviation!
