Krist Gao

Hi guys! I’m Krist Gao, your current president of automotive society! I’m rerunning for pres to keep up with the momentum we’ve made so far and take the society further.

Over the past year, we’ve grown our community and expanded our range of events. I want to make sure the society continues to be a fun, welcoming space for everyone who enjoys car culture. Everyone is welcome to our F1 watch parties, whether you’re a beginner or an enthusiast.

At the same time I’ve been a regular participant in car meets, race days and concourses to build connections with the london automotive & motorsport scene, and meeting up with people including Zak Brown, Jimmie Johnson and Richard Hammond. My vision is to bring more industry talks and motorsport experiences into our community.

Last i want to thank Natasha, Peter and Praneeth for all the hard work this year, you guys have been amazing and truly an invaluable part of the society.

We’ve had a strong year, but there’s still so more we can achieve. I’m running again because I care deeply about this society and want to keep growing it with all of you.

Olivia Pearce

After giving up the presidency the year before last for my year abroad, I have wanted to re-apply for the presidency. My genuine love for motorsport runs deep and after bringing back the society from dissolution I knew I wanted to bring a platform to UCL where passion for all things motorsport can survive and thrive. Building a strong community is of such importance to me and to be able to bring together a wide variety of people with a common love for anything automotive.

As president, I’d like to organise industry guest talks, create new networking opportunities for people in automotive sports. Run events for car shows and run car spotting events around London. I’d like to keep the society and expand, to leave behind a society stronger than when I joined it.

I’d love to be able to run events for all students and continue to expand on an already flourishing and expanding society.

Peter Neville

Hi, my name is Peter, a second year robotics and AI student. I have been a member of the automotive society since 2024 and was your welfare secretary for the last year of 2025/26. F1 and motorsport in general has been a long running interest of mine, both from a racing and technical point of view. My goal for the last year has been to make the automotive society a fun and inclusive environment as welfare officer and I hope to continue this as your president next year.

For the last year, I have been involved in the organisation of our events, ranging from race viewings to quizzes to F1 arcade nights, and I hope to be able to expand this in the coming year with the following initiatives:

  • Organising industry talks and events. Inviting racing professionals across the motorsport world, such as journalists and team engineers to give open dialogue with our members, allowing you to see inside the world of racing.
  • Organising more society trips to both in and out of London experiences, such as F1 arcade nights or Brands Hatch race days.
  • And finally, continuing organise bigger and better race viewings for our members, expanding out of just F1 to give you a chance to experience all that motorsport has to offer.

Being part of the committee for this past year and getting to organise great events for a great community has been a pleasure, and I hope you will let me continue to do so as your president for the foreseeable future as well.

Thank you and look forward to working with you all.
